CARE & STYLING

Washing Your Hair

How Often to Wash

  • Wigs: Every 10–15 wears
  • Clip-Ins: Every 15–20 wears
  • Installed Extensions: Every 5–7 days
  • Bundles (Sew-In): Every 7–10 days

Washing Steps

1. Detangle First: Gently detangle from ends to roots before washing. Use a wide-tooth comb for curly textures.

2. Shampoo: Use a sulfate-free shampoo. Massage gently and rinse with lukewarm water in a downward motion.

3. Condition: Apply from mid-shaft to ends only. Leave on 5–10 minutes, then rinse with cool water.

4. Deep Condition: Apply weekly for virgin hair. Leave on 20–30 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

Drying & Styling

Air Drying (Preferred): Gently squeeze excess water, apply leave-in conditioner, and allow hair to air dry completely.

Blow Drying: Use low to medium heat, always apply heat protectant, and dry in a downward motion.

Heat Styling
  • Virgin Hair: Up to 400°F
  • Remy/Russian Hair: Max 350°F

Always:

  • Use heat protectant
  • Test heat on a small section
  • Limit heat styling to 2–3 times per week
Coloring Your Hair

Virgin Hair: Can be colored, bleached, or dyed. Professional coloring recommended. Always deep condition after.

Remy/Russian Hair: Can be colored darker. Lightening is risky and should only be done professionally.

Pro Tip: Virgin hair is the best option if you plan to color.

Nighttime Care

Wigs: Remove before bed and store on a wig stand. If worn overnight, cover with silk or satin.

Extensions: Braid or twist hair loosely and sleep with a silk scarf or pillowcase. Never sleep with wet hair.

Recommended Products

Clip-Ins: Lay flat or hang in original packaging — or hang neatly with the Glam Guard.
